A firefighter puts out a fire at a cooking gas shop in Hat Yai district of Songkhla province after a car rammed into the building on Sunday. The incident occurred at about 4.30am when a Toyota Yarris car driven by Chamnong Poonsri, 33, skidded off Rat Uthis road into Hat Yai Union Gas shop at the corner of Soi 11. Fire engines of the Hat Yai Municipality were able to extinguish the fire at about 7.30am, three hours after it started. This caused him to lose control of the car, which mounted the pavement and rammed into the gas shop, said Mr Chamnong. The three were taken to Hat Yai police station for questioning and a drug test.
